Easy cards ideas for St. Patrick's Day

We offer bright ideas of simple cards for the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.
St. Patrick’s Day is a widely celebrated holiday in Ireland that has gained popularity in many countries. People who are interested in Irish culture, who for one reason or another worship St. Patrick, who simply love everything unusual and interesting, arrange parties at home, go to pubs and bars in the evening, and take part in festive processions. It’s fun and worth experiencing!

Materials and tools:

  • ruler,scissors
  • cardstock
  • design paper
  • glue

If you have never joined St. Patrick’s Day, start small – try to make simple postcards, garlands, vases and any other decor with the main symbols of the holiday with your own hands.

Gift boxes will be the main element of our cards. For the box, we need 5 strips of paper 2 cm wide. For convenience, plan at least 15 cm for the length. And one green strip for the box lid (size 9.5*1.5 cm).

As you can see in the photo, the strips are glued at an angle of 45 degrees, we glue them onto plain white paper. The template(6*9 cm) will help you cut the rectangle evenly.

We apply the template over the glued strips, draw a rectangle and cut it out.

We will also prepare a congratulatory inscription.

We glue all three elements on a volumetric tape.

We decorated the lid of the box with a decorative pendant.

The second version of the postcard is even easier to execute. We decorated the rectangle with golden stripes imitating ribbons and glued a golden quatrefoil on top – a symbol of good luck and wealth!
