Card Making

Valentine’s day card from designer paper.

Valentine's day card from designer paper.

If you like delicate, light, snow-white postcards, but lack some interesting idea, you can use overlay elements and make a Valentine’s day card from designer paper . It also works great in combination with themed design paper sets. The elements themselves – these can be hearts, sweet wishes, or something abstract – are cut out of paper and glued onto the card in layers.

Material and tools:

  • ruler, scissors
  • cardstock
  • glue, double side foam tape
  • thread
  • design paper

We took a couple of sheets of design paper with Valentine’s Day elements.

White cardboard was glued to the base of design paper.

The cut out elements must be pre-tested on the base – where which element will be located!
The airiness and originality of our postcard will add volume to the clouds and threads for the heart and letters. Tape the hearts and the letter to the clouds with tape – just like in the photo! And the clouds themselves are glued to the volumetric tape.

Our Valentines’s day card is ready.
